The ski season (at least in the Alps) has got off to a slow start but finally the “big storm” has arrived with heavy snow falls with the northern French and western Swiss Alps benefitting most, but many other parts of the Alps saw some snow. Overall it is looking a lot more wintry now than it was just a few days ago, with even the lowest resorts in Austria now covered by snow. This should see a surge of late ski holiday bookings especially as prices seem to have tumbled.
